Meet the Muslim Chaplain
Semih Kiyma serves as Muslim Chaplain at Lafayette College, supporting the religious and spiritual life of Muslim students and the wider campus community.
Chaplain Semih is a PhD candidate in Interreligious Studies at Hartford International University for Religion and Peace, where he also earned his MA in Interreligious Studies. His academic work focuses on Islamic studies, Muslim-Christian relations, religious ethics, and interreligious engagement.
At Lafayette, he supports Friday prayer (Jumu'ah), biweekly halaqas, Ramadan programming, and other aspects of Muslim life on campus. He is also available for individual conversations about faith, spiritual life, questions about Islam, navigating college as a Muslim, or anything else students would like to talk through.
Students of any background are welcome to reach out. Whether you have a question, are looking for spiritual support, or simply want to talk, Chaplain Semih is here for you.
You can schedule a conversation or submit a question anonymously through Ask the Muslim Chaplain.
