Muslim Life at Lafayette

• Friday Prayer (Jumu'ah): Hogg Hall, Interfaith Chapel, 1st Floor. Khutbah begins at 1:05 PM; prayer concludes around 1:30 PM.
• Daily Prayer Space: The masjid on the lower level of Hogg Hall is open 24/7. Anyone is welcome to use the space for prayer, Qur'an reading, or quiet reflection at any time.

Lafayette Dining offers halal chicken in selected meals across campus. Plain, unbreaded chicken is sourced from a halal supplier, while breaded and processed chicken products (including chicken tenders, crispy chicken, and General Tso's chicken) are not currently halal.

Halal chicken is available at Upper Farinon, Marquis Dining Hall, and Cinco Café. Look for the "H" symbol on nutritional information boards to identify halal chicken offerings.

At Lower Farinon Commons, fried foods such as fries and mozzarella sticks are prepared in the same fryers as non-halal breaded chicken, so students who avoid shared-fryer contact may wish to choose other options.

The MSA and Muslim Chaplain work closely with Dining Services to expand halal protein choices, strengthen preparation and labeling practices, and coordinate Ramadan dining accommodations.

Ramadan

During Ramadan, MSA and campus partners organize iftars, prayer opportunities, and other support for students who are fasting. Current Ramadan details will be posted here each year.

Eid

When Eid falls during the academic year, MSA shares current details about prayer and celebrations as they are confirmed. Watch the Events page and Instagram for updates.
